Northern Rivers Animal Services (NRAS) has a busy weekend planned, beginning with its monthly Adoption Day at the Ballina rescue shelter. Visitors can meet dogs and cats looking for their forever homes, browse pet merchandise and take advantage of $15 grooming services including hydro bathing and nail clipping, with microchipping also available. The BBQ will be fired up throughout the morning. The following day, NRAS heads to the Wharf Restaurant for a Father’s Day afternoon of music, where it will be the charity of the day. Volunteers will be on hand to talk about the organisation and collect donations, while mascot Maggie Moo will happily accept a tummy rub or two.
