Jenny Bird

Jenny Bird has been writing for The Bangalow Herald and other publications for more than 15 years, bringing insight, curiosity and a keen eye for community issues to her work. For the Herald, she focuses largely on council matters and the evolving social and demographic stories shaping the 2479 region, while elsewhere she is known for her thoughtful book reviews.
A close observer of village life, Jenny enjoys unpacking the broader forces influencing small communities and the people within them. Away from the page, she admits to a particular fascination with Japanese handmade steel kitchen knives — appreciating the craftsmanship, precision and beauty of the form.
Jenny is also President of the Bangalow Herald management committee.
