This month, ceramic artists across the Northern Rivers open their studio doors for the 14th annual North Coast Mud Trail, inviting visitors to discover the people, processes and stories behind handmade clay. This year’s event expands into a four-day celebration, with the much-loved self-guided open studio weekend joined by two new workshop days where visitors can learn directly from participating artists. Along the trail, expect demonstrations, artist talks, exhibitions and the chance to purchase unique works while exploring studios across the Byron, Ballina and Lismore shires. Whether you’re a dedicated collector, an aspiring potter or simply curious about the region’s thriving ceramics community, the Mud Trail offers an inspiring weekend immersed in creativity.
